Visit ‘The Land of Olives’ at Clare Museum
21 October 2025
Clare County Council’s Arts Office, in conjunction with Clare Museum, present ‘The Land of Olives’, an art exhibition by Marianne Potterton.

The exhibition is available to visit between October 20 and November 28, 2025, at Clare Museum, Ennis.
Marianne Potterton is a visual artist based in Doolin, Clare. She graduated with a first class honours degree in Painting at Crawford College of Art, and a master’s degree in European Fine Art from Southampton University.
Though her first love is painting, her practice spans across and connects a diverse range of disciplines, bridging ways of making and seeing; from painting and poetry to long distance walking, interventions in the landscape and working with found materials.
Some of Potterton's most recent exhibitions have included The Lido Open 2025; The Lido Stores Margate, UK; ‘Forging Wild’, a three person show in The Courthouse Gallery, Ennistymon, curated by Simon Fennessy Corcoran (2024); ‘Beyond Brushstrokes Between Matter and Memory’, curated by Sara Foust in The Burren College of Art and The Courthouse Gallery Ennistymon (2024); and the ‘Walks from the Pollock Holes to Santiago’, a one person show in Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee.
